    A PRACTICAL EXAMPLE

Know what a useful result looks like.

Make a readable animation with correct frame proportions.

    Try this workflow

    Start with
Three still images, including one with different proportions.
    Set up
Choose Fit whole frame, 500 ms default timing; set the last frame to 1500 ms.
    What to expect
The cycle lasts 2.5 seconds. Frames fit onto the first image’s canvas, within the selected maximum side. Empty areas use the selected background.

    Check before using the result

    • Review playback and individual pauses.
    • Check that important content is not cropped in Fill mode.
    • Check file size before uploading.

    When the result needs work

GIF uses a limited palette, which can introduce banding. This tool uses one still frame from animated inputs and fills alpha with a solid background.

Examples illustrate specific inputs and settings. Actual output size and appearance depend on your file and browser. Practice images are synthetic; they do not contain personal data.

    GOOD TO KNOW

    A few useful answers.

    More help

How do I make a GIF?

Add two or more images in the order you want them to play, set the frame delay, and generate — then download your animated GIF.

    Can I control the speed?

Yes. Set a default delay from 100 to 10,000 milliseconds, or override individual frames. You can also choose continuous looping or a single playback.

    Are my images uploaded?

No. The GIF is encoded in your browser. Image files are not uploaded. Processing metadata may be recorded; see our privacy policy.
