Start with: The practice set containing two identical files and one different image.
Set up: Check fingerprints, then select the preferred name for the duplicate group.
What to expect: The original three files form two unique groups. The ZIP contains the selected original files without recompressing them.

When the result needs work

Different metadata or recompression changes file bytes even if two images look identical. This tool does not find merely similar photographs.

What counts as a duplicate?

Files must have identical bytes. SHA-256 hashes identify matching files even when the filenames differ. A recompressed image or a copy with different metadata will not be grouped, even if it looks the same.

Will this delete my files?

No. Choose a copy to include from each group, then download a ZIP of the unique original files. Your source files stay where they are. Conflicting names are given numeric suffixes in the ZIP.

Are my files uploaded?

No. Image files and results stay in your browser. This workspace does not send filenames or editing results to our server, and you do not need an account.

How many files can I use?

Choose up to 50 JPG, PNG or WebP files, no larger than 50 MB each and 100 MB combined. These tools preserve the original file bytes, rather than re-encoding the images.
